Ohad Bachrach

Born in Jerusalem on the 28th of Tevet, 5737
Murdered in Wadi Kelt on the 20th of Tammuz, 5755

Ohad was the son of Aryeh and Bilha. At the age of two, he and his family moved to the new settlement, Bet El. He attended the elementary school in Bet El and excelled in his studies. He continued his studies at the Yeshiva High School Netiv Meir and afterwards at Yeshivat Mercaz Harav in Jerusalem. Due to his will to combine "the book with the sword," he transferred to Yeshivat Kerem B'Yavneh and he used to say that, "The fact that I want to be an officer doesn't excuse me from being a talmid chacham." Therefore, he spent much time and energy learning and delving deep into the basics of faith.

His whole way of acting stemmed from wholeness and honesty and he always influenced the whole group of which he was a part of, and became a central figure immediately.

And, as the Rosh Yeshiva of Mercaz Harav, Harav Shapira, shlita, eulogized him, he was a "greatly beloved lad."

May His Memory Be Blessed
