Yehuda Malek

Born on the 12th of Tevet, 5712, in Jerusalem, a graduate of Yeshivat Marom Tzion
Fell in the Yom Kippur War on the 12th of Tishrei, 5734

A section from a letter which his commander sent to his home after his death: "On Monday morning Yehuda's tank left the lot where it had been parked overnight in Nafach, and traveled southwest with two other tanks. Yehuda's tank led the attack on the strategic hill. In the course of the attack, Yehuda's tank was hit by a shell and Yehuda was killed. Yehuda was always prepared for any mission, and went on all missions with a clear knowledge that through his actions, he was protecting the Nation of Israel, the Land of Israel and the religion of Israel. He served as an example for his friends in all that he did. Loving and helping his friends are qualities that he excelled at throughout his service and made him beloved by his friends and commanders. His smile and joyousness helped raise the morale of his friends, even in the toughest hours of the battle. His memory will not be forgotten and his image will forever be before our eyes."

May His Memory Be Blessed
