Refuah Sheleimah

The Yeshiva extends wishes of Refuah Sheleimah, and asks to continue saying Tehillim on behalf of Rabbi Avraham Yeshua Rabenstein, who was seriously injured in a traffic accident. His Hebrew name is Avraham Yehoshua ben Yochana Margolit.

Thank G-d, Yeshua is now out of his coma. According to his parents, he is moving limbs on command and even moved his lips in response to his mother's voice, although he can not speak yet. He still needs our tefilos, as the road to recovery can still be long.

Mr. Klein visited him at his rehabilitation facility in New Jersey, and also reported: "I found him sitting in a chair, moving his legs freely, his eyes open part of the time (although I'm not sure how focused they were), and he responded to a strong handshake. I believe that he understood most of what I said to him, but unfortunately, was unable to reply.  I left him with one of our Tu B'Shevat pamphlets, which he looked over and then put inside his shirt. Let us pray that he will continue to improve."

Yeshua is currently in a rehabilitation facility near West Orange, New Jersey. His chaveirim are arranging for people (one or two) to learn in his room on a weekly basis, on Tuesday nights from around 7:00pm to 9:00pm. This will be both a physical (according to the doctors) and spiritual benefit to Yehoshua, and we are privileged to take part in this great mitzvah. The times are slightly flexible and transportation can be worked out for those who do not have access to a car. Our goal is to have a kol Torah in his room on a weekly basis.
Please choose a Tuesday evening when you are available and email either Reuven Brand (rebrand@gmail.com) or Levi Mostofsky (mostofsk@yu.edu)to sign up and for more details. Tizku l'mitzvot!
