Shalom!

"Yad Yissachar & Yitzchak" Organization was established on a completely volunteer basis, with the goal of helping needy families and sick people.

Every Shabbos and holiday, the organization distributes food to needy families in Ashdod and nearby cities, each family according to its size and individual needs. The packages include food for the Shabbos meals: chicken, Challahs, vegetables, and additional food staples. This operation encompasses more than four hundred families weekly.

The families are forwarded to us by the welfare agency and social workers, who carefully check the families' circumstances and needs. The organization conducts orderly follow-up of the families and their needs, and remains in continuous contact with them.

A food package for Shabbos costs    $10.

Food packages for the month cost     $40.

Food packages for the holidays cost–$120.

Food packages for the year cost      $600.

Now, because of the difficult financial situation in Israel, the list of needy people who turn to us to assist them is growing.

In addition, the organization runs religious programs for olim on Chanukah and Purim (see photos below). For Pesach, G-d willing, we expect to hold a special distribution of food packages and Pesach provisions to 750 families!

We therefore turn to you with a heartfelt request on behalf of the families and sick people, to lend a hand and be partners with us in this important mitzvah. By "adopting" one family per week for a cost of $10, only $600 for the year, you will become full partners in supporting a needy family, and "Whoever adds – will be granted more from Heaven."

"May Your nation, Israel, not be in need of one another."

Sincerely,

Etai Shoham

Director
